Our Business Valuation Approach

We take pride in providing well-reasoned, objective and independent business appraisal reports for your reporting or decision-making processes. Our analysts are specialists, applying the most current and advanced methodologies and business valuation models in order to provide the accurate and well-documented value of your company.  Our reports contain a presentation of our analyses and a thorough explanation of our methodologies and underlying assumptions. We work with you to make sure that we understand your company and what drives it.

As independent appraisers, BCC Advisers’ analyses and reports adhere to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), the Principles of Appraisal Practice and Code of Ethics of the American Society of Appraisers, and Statement on Standards for Valuation Services (SSVS) No. 1 and the Code of Professional Conduct of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Our principals are qualified appraisers as defined under the Pension Protection Act of 2006 and applicable Treasury regulations. Our valuation reports meet the Adequate Disclosure Requirements of Section 301.6501-1(f)(3) of the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997 and withstand the scrutiny of Internal Revenue Service audits.

Our Business Valuation Analysts

Our staff of accredited valuation analysts have earned the designations of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). We set an example to be industry leaders, serving as officers for local chapters of the American Society of Appraisers, the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants (ISCPA), and the ESOP Association. We frequently speak on valuation topics to various groups and author articles related to our specialization.  Continuing professional education keeps us current with accounting pronouncements, tax laws, and changes in valuation theory.
