James D. Nalley, CPA/ABV, CFF, CVA
James D. Nalley specializes in delivering business valuation, litigation support, and management advisory services to clients in a variety of industries. He is experienced in providing business valuations for a multitude of purposes including estate and gift taxes, business sales or purchases, buy-sell agreements and marital dissolutions. Mr. Nalley has prepared economic damage reports for projects involving personal injury, wrongful termination, contract disputes and interruption of business. He has provided direct testimony in support of his business valuation and economic damage reports.
A shareholder of BCC Advisers, Mr. Nalley is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Iowa Society of CPAs and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). Mr. Nalley serves on the Advisory Council for the Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) and is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and forums on business valuation and litigation support issues. He is active in numerous community activities and has served in various leadership roles.
Mr. Nalley’s professional background includes public accounting work for two of Iowa’s largest locally owned public accounting firms, providing tax and assurance services to companies operating in a wide range of industries including banking, health care, manufacturing, wholesaling and retail trade, among others. He is an alumnus of Iowa State University with the following accreditations: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).
