James D. Nalley
James D. Nalley is a Vice President at BCC ADVISERS. Mr. Nalley joined BCC ADVISERS following a successful career in public accounting with Denman & Company, LLP and most recently Winther, Stave, & Company, LLP. During his approximate twelve-year career in public accounting, Mr. Nalley provided tax and assurance services to companies operating in a wide range of industries including banking, health care, manufacturing, wholesaling and retail trade, among others. His background of providing services to a variety of industries brings a wealth of knowledge to BCC ADVISERS where he specializes in delivering business valuation, litigation support and management advisory services to clients. Mr. Nalley is experienced in providing business valuations for a multitude of purposes including estate and gift taxes, purchases or sales of businesses, buy-sell agreements and marital dissolutions. As part of his litigation support experiences, Mr. Nalley has prepared economic damage reports for projects involving personal injury, wrongful termination, contract disputes and interruption of business. On numerous occasions he has provided direct testimony in support of his business valuation and economic damage reports. A Spencer, Iowa native, Mr. Nalley received his Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) from Iowa State University in 1992. He is a Certified Public Accountant with a permit to practice in the state of Iowa. Mr. Nalley earned his designation as a Certified Valuation Analyst in 2000 from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and his Accredited in Business Valuation designation in 2005 from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Iowa Society of CPAs and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He is active in numerous community activities and has served as the President of the Lakes Chapter of the Iowa Society of CPAs and as Treasurer of the Spencer Chapter of the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce.
