Steven G. Jacobs joined BCC ADVISERS as a principal in September 1990 following a successful career in commercial and retail banking at Bankers Trust Company. His business focus has always been on developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Mr. Jacobs has substantial management and operations experience having successfully advised business owners in a variety of industries and markets worldwide over the last thirty plus years. He is integrally involved in assisting shareholders and managers in identifying and accomplishing their business transfer, corporate finance and business planning goals.

Prior to joining BCC ADVISERS, Mr. Jacobs was a Senior Officer and Manager with Bankers Trust Company (1977-1990). Areas of responsibility included commercial, real estate and consumer lending and overall management of the retail banking division.

An Iowa native (home town Indianola), Mr. Jacobs earned his B.S. and M.B.A. from Drake University. He is a licensed Iowa Real Estate Broker and a Registered Representative with StillPoint Capital, LLC, licensed to deal in securities relating to business transfer sales, corporate finance, limited partnerships and private placements. Mr. Jacobs is a Board Member of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI), and is BCC ADVISERS’ Designated Member in IMAP (International Network of M&A Partners), IMAP's U.S. Membership Committee Representative, and Member of IMAP’s North American Council. He is President and Board Member of the West Des Moines Community Enrichment Foundation, and an Officer and Board Member of the Scottish Rite Masonic Foundation. Mr. Jacobs an active member of Plymouth Congregational Church and Des Moines Rotary Club. He has led numerous fund-raising efforts over his professional business career, has served as President of the Variety Club of Iowa, Trustee Chair of the West Des Moines Library Board and Moderator of Plymouth Congregational Church.
