Steven G. Jacobs joined BCC ADVISERS as a principal in September 1990 following a successful career in commercial and retail banking at Bankers Trust Company. His business focus has always been on developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Mr. Jacobs has substantial management and operations experience having worked with a variety of industries over the last thirty plus years. He is also integrally involved in assisting business owners and managers in identifying and accomplishing their business transfer and corporate finance goals.

Prior to joining BCC ADVISERS, Mr. Jacobs was a senior officer and manager with Bankers Trust Company of Des Moines, Iowa (1977-1990). Areas of responsibility included commercial, real estate and consumer lending and overall management of the retail banking division.

An Iowa native (home town Indianola), Mr. Jacobs earned his B.S. and M.B.A. from Drake University. He is a licensed Iowa Real Estate Broker, IMAP's U.S. Membership Committee representative, Treasurer and Board Member of the West Des Moines Community Enrichment Foundation, Officer and Board Member of the Scottish Rite Masonic Foundation, Incoming Chair of the Rotary Club of Des Moines Foundation Committee and John Stoddard Cancer Center Finance Committee member. Steve is also past president and remains an active member of the Variety Club of Iowa, Plymouth Congregational Church and Des Moines Rotary Club. He has led numerous fund-raising efforts over his professional business career and has served as Trustee Chair of the West Des Moines Library Board and Moderator of Plymouth Church.
