BCC Chairman and Founder to Lead IMAP
January 2008

Mark Esbeck, Chairman and Founder of BCC Advisers, is leaving the firm to accept a newly created position within the International Network of M&A Partners (IMAP), an organization of which BCC is a member.  He will be the executive leader of this 60+ member group covering over 40 countries and will be charged with the task of helping each office improve its systems and collaboration to better integrate as a collective team.

Mr. Esbeck made the following address in his final column in BCC Advisers’ newsletter, baton: 

“While I will step back from direct client advisory work I will have the privilege of continuing to interact with my wonderful colleagues at BCC in my new position.  The BCC team represents the absolute best in customer service dedication and I hope to continue to be inspired by their efforts in my new role.”

I am sad to no longer be active in a business that has meant so much to me, but it is also very satisfying to know that the BCC team will move forward ever stronger and more successful than before.  Steve Jacobs has already told me that things will be different and that is good.  The two of us have been a mutually supportive team for a long time and we will still be strong comrades, but in slightly different capacities.   The same can be said of Al Ryerson and Greg Weber, who are more like family than workplace associates.

I wish to thank the many friends, clients and referral sources that I have been blessed to know and serve during my 27 years as a Des Moines-based banker and adviser.  The new IMAP office will be in Tampa, Florida which means that I will relocate for this new position.
