James D. Nalley Obtains the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) Designation

James D. Nalley, Manager with BCC ADVISERS, has obtained the Accredited in Business Valuation designation (ABV) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
To obtain the ABV designation, a candidate must successfully meet the following eligibility requirements:
- A member in good standing of the AICPA and hold an unrevoked CPA certificate or license issued by a recognized state authority, and
- Provide evidence of ten (10) business valuation engagements that demonstrate substantial experience and competence.
- Pass a written exam covering the business valuation common body of knowledge, including the areas of professional and regulatory standards, valuation methods and report writing.
- CPAs who have earned the ABV credential must recertify every three years.
Since joining BCC ADVISERS, Mr. Nalley has completed numerous projects in the area of business valuation for purposes of mergers & acquisitions, ESOPs, 401(k) plans, estate & gift planning, charitable giving, and corporate planning and reorganization.
