BCC ADVISERS ACQUIRES IOWA APPRAISAL AND RESEARCH CORPORATION

Merger of Two Longtime Firms to Result in More Comprehensive Services

BCC Advisers is pleased to announce its acquisition (effective May 1, 2012) of Iowa Appraisal and Research Corporation – one of the oldest appraisal firms in the state – from owner and President Fred Lock who will continue in his position.

For 54 years, Iowa Appraisal has provided commercial and residential real estate valuation, consulting services and market studies to clients throughout Iowa and the United States. It's known for its specialty work in land development, Federal Housing Administration-insured developments, hospitality and continuing care properties, farms and land conservation projects. Iowa Appraisal also represents clients in matters of tax appeal, appraisal review, eminent domain, acquisitions and expert testimony.

BCC Advisers is an independent financial and management advisory firm specializing in merger and acquisition consulting, corporate finance, business valuation, and litigation support services. BCC has been serving its global clients for almost 25 years.

Full integration of the firms will occur over the next year, according to Jacobs. Each entity will retain its name and all employees.
